WHAT PEOPLE SAY

Had no idea what to expect from the Coastal Children's Museum, but our grandson thoroughly enjoyed the many rooms and activities. He started with the ship climbing structure, and loved pulling up the pulley full of fish, then sliding down the pole. The store held is interest for a few minutes, but the little veterinary office kept him busy for quite awhile. The stage and dressing in several costumes provided more fun. He was 3 1/2, about the perfect age for this museum.

MY grandchildren just love this lovely, creative nook in the world. So many fun activities, ever changing craft activities, fish tank, musical instruments, and the ever favorite... the kitchen/grocery store. If my kids lived closer I would have a membership for sure.

This was not what I expected of a museum ( being English). Staffed by enthusiastic volunteers this venue offers loads of different play/experience areas for children up to 12 to interact with. With other families around children learn to relate with piers and have a fun time. Loads of hands on fun. Also some small sea creatures that at the right time are used to give a hands on experience. A great place for a couple of hours of fun. Would go again.

My three year old girl has been to this great little gem on the south side of Rockland. Lots of interactive stuff for children in the preschool age. This place rivals the Portland children's museum as far as local exhibits. The puzzles are fun for parents as well. If you are in the midcoast area with small children this is a must won't be disappointed.
