What are the requirements for volunteering?
We have no specific time requirements for our volunteers and would love to work with you as much or as little as you would like!
We are more than happy to work with a wide variety of ages young and older! We accept volunteers as young as thirteen as long they are accompanied by an adult.
High school students are highly encourage to volunteer with us, and do not need to be accompanied by an adult if they are over the age of sixteen. We will happily provide them with letters of recommendation/participation, to help them meet graduation guidelines. If they volunteer on a regular basis, we would also be willing to write them recommendations for future jobs or college!
What do Coastal Children's Museum volunteers do?
Our volunteers can help with:
Day to day operations
Community outreach (such as the Lobster Festival)
Special events (such as birthday parties)
Running exhibits (such as our touch tank)
Your responsibilities as a volunteer are based on you and your interests!
